VK2JNA SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW 40m endfed 80/160 27m wire, 10m & 20m radials, autotuner
VK4M SINGLE-OP MIXED HIGH Great condx for the majority of the contest. Most QRP stns were S7-S9. ZL's easily copied. 400w, 40m 4sq, 160 vert, 80m loop+Vert. Thanks for all the friendly contacts.
VK5LJ SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Generally good band conditions all round with Jeff from Lord Howe Island, ZL and VK6 stations all easy copy. 100w and OCF Dipole.
VK3TZT SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Was great to make a few contacts on 160
VK2KQB SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Great Contest even though my conditions were difficult with S8 suburban noise and plenty static crashes
VK3ARD SINGLE-OP MIXED QRP QRP Portable. 80m was rough.
VL5C SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Single Operator Low Power
VK2FO SINGLE-OP SSB LOW Great fun getting on the air. Pity about the noise on 80m. Local weather conditions with winds gusting up to 100kms per hour did not help either
VK3KRL SINGLE-OP MIXED QRP Nice and busy, more contacts that I thought I'd get on 5w, with some challenging QSOs with a few stations working very hard to hear me, especially on 80m (using 40m EFHW with L-match) so thank-you to them.
VK2MT SINGLE-OP SSB LOW Operated portable in VK4 from the caravan on a small island in Lake Nuga Nuga Qld (between Emerald & Roma). Used an Icom 7100, squid pole & Inv Vee antenna with almost 0dB noise. Good band conditions, many contacts on 40m, most on 80m which was hit with OHR a few times, while 160m was working well & at times had less noise than 80. Having the three 2 hour blocks is great as it recharges all the contacts. With thanks to VK4SN for organising.
VJ5Z SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Great Contest, plenty of operators, made some 160M QSO's for the first time ever - I'll be back!
VK7C/VK6 SINGLE-OP MIXED HIGH Operated my portable set up from near York in VK6. Quiet location with very low noise, and a couple of good trees for the doublet, and space for the quarter wave vertical for 40m.
VK5DT SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Great contest, had lots of fun especially the 160m activity. Thankyou VK4SN for organising.
VK2TTL SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Thanks for the contest and all those that participated. Worked on all bands , with a 160m portable 10m sqid pole hectically wound with top hat.
ZL4RO SINGLE-OP MIXED LOW Very noisey band conditions
VK4P SINGLE-OP MIXED HIGH Only worked the first 3.5hrs but had fun. Andy VK4KY(VK4P)
ZL3VZ SINGLE-OP MIXED HIGH Horrific static crashes on 160/80m made for some difficulties but nevertheless some good signals on 160m. Enjoyed the contest - thanks to the organisers.
VK2WY SINGLE-OP MIXED QRP What a hard Contest this year!!!, Had really great signal reports from some then 5 mins later they couldnt hear me!, but i could hear them 10 over!!, odd just really odd, as the night went on it got hard to hear with Static crashes on both 80/40m, ZL's for me were few and far in between!!!, spent the whole day travelling then operating then travelled back to Brisbane straight after the contest, BIG DAY!! Oh and did I mention absolutely froze my arse off!!!! Its interesting to see how this contest has changed in 25 years! Bring on next year,
VL5L SINGLE-OP MIXED HIGH Good fun as always! Conditions were reasonable. Nice to work a few ZL's as well. This year I was using a K9AY / Aziloop stearable receiving array and a horizontal dipole / vertical monopole for transmit. The K9AY was very effective at nulling out the wideband surface radar on 80M A very quiet wideband receiving antenna! There were two other stations using this antenna during the contest. Take a look at https://quietradio.co.uk/ for more information.
VK2MB MULTI-OP MIXED HIGH The Many Warringah Radio Society operated portable from the Berrima scout camp. This is a great location for the scouts and for radio. The club utilksed an ICOM IC7610 with dual antennas. 160m dipole and a 80m OCF Dipole for 80m and 40m. 3 members stayed overnight on Friday before the contest in preparation for the antenna setup Saturday morning. They were joined by a large group of members and visitors on the Saturday to assist, offer moral support and to enjoy the Saturday evening BBQ. A great time was had by all as propagation seemed to be excellent due to the excellend sunspot activity. At this event we also held a JOTA planning session and tested out a number of JOTA activities in preparation for JOTA 2024.
VL4R MULTI-OP SSB HIGH Conditions were excellent on 40m most of the night I stayed on 40m. 80m and 160 were good Bill VK4ZD managed to work a number of stations including ZL on 160. Equipment: Station 1: Flex 6600 with 80w out into a 160m horizontal delta loop on 80 and a 320m loop on 160. Both about 20m in the trees. Staion 2 Icom IC7300 Expert 1.3KFa @ 400w into a second 160m horizontal delta loop at 20m plus in the trees. it was a fun and relaxed Contest. Logging with N1MM+ Ops Bill VK4ZD & Diane VK4DI M2 entry
